1982 Mongoose Motomag

My 2nd Restore - 1982 Mongoose

Since I have always had a liking for Old School Mongoose bikes, I picked up a rather beaten down frame and fork off ebay.  Originally nickel, the plating was peeling off so I decided to strip and paint.  Since my bikes were always blue, I decided to try something completely different, for me.  Since I already had the red tuff 2's, the choice was obvious. I was amazed to see later that Mongoose sold and showed a picture in their catalog, a very similiar style to my goose.

Just saw that you commented on this. Im sure you recognize those snakebellys.  These cranks are Sugino SR.  Have you seen my other new goose?
