1997 Powerlite P61

P61 or XL frame

I recently, Feb 2008,  bought this bike off my cousin.  He bought the bike brand new after he finished racing and thought he just needed a cool machine to cruise the town on.  I decided to get back into racing and rang my cousin to find he had a wicked powerlite that hadn't been raced and he was happy to part with it.  I have cleaned it up and added new bars, chainwheel, chain and tyres.  I will use this as my everyday racer for now.  It rides really well.
'P61' is the name given to the complete bike where as the 'XL' was the name for the frame only.  According to the catalogue the geometry specs are identical to each other.
