Re: How about a Specialized thread!!!

Just tug the line in either direction, it will come out , it's just a pain in the a$$ to get it back in, it took me over 2 hrs to fish mine back through lol , well worth it though , and to think , I hav 5 of them to do , every time I have to change the line  .... My orange one is the aluminum model as well it was grey and silver but I like to,do custom colors myself , if your looking for decals pm me smile , because everyone that owns a Specialized knows, that's another thing you can't find either , they don't sell decal packs, epspecially FatBoy wink

Re: How about a Specialized thread!!!

The Vegas was really attractive when it first hit the market , I always wanted one till I saw the add in BMXPLUs for the Hemi comp frame , , back in I want to say 2000?, those frames alone were going for 250 to 300

Re: How about a Specialized thread!!!

If you get on bikeapedia i'm sure it will tell you what  color was the aluminum model each year. Also the serial # on the bottom helps identify the year. My 1997 starts with ACM6G my 1998 starts with ACM7D.

Re: How about a Specialized thread!!!

I'll have to add mine.

A good way to pull the brake cable out is by using string with a loop on the end. When the cable end goes through the loop, just pull up on the string. Fishing. That's how I did it.

Best way to replace cables is keep the original in there until finished , then tape the old housing to the new housing with duct tape and pull the new housing through . that always worked for me . otherwise its a huge headache i know !
