Re: Who remembers Poor Boy?

I used a few different Poor Boy plates when I raced. My favorite was the Chick plate, I wish I still had it.
I had a bunch of shirts and a backpack as well, I think I still have the back pack around somewhere................?

I still have a PB gyro cover as well.

Yep, Jason Carnes is a great guy! We drove straight from Ft.Worth Texas to LA for interbike one year. He was a good travel buddy! Kept us entertained the whole time!

Re: Who remembers Poor Boy?

Yeah, the "hot chick" plate was a big seller! I've been thinking about making a few of the "chicks hate bikes" shirts, too.

I just posted in the Want to Trade section looking for Poor Boy stuff and thought I'd post here as well. Anybody have any good stories, old pics or anything related to Poor Boy Clothing company to share? I own Poor Boy (worked for them '96-'99, then purchased the company in '99) and am a bit nostalgic these days about the brand. Going to try and start collecting some of the stuff when I can find it and eventually would like to have a sort of museum website to show it all. If anyone has any great pics or scans of old Poor Boy stuff, I'd LOVE to see them! Post 'em up!

Old catalogs, stickers, shirts, pants, pads, accessories, jerseys, hats, etc. Post up pics of what you've got!

Thanks!

Oh yeah, I had a few of those shirts and a ton of allied stuff too. All of it was way to big for me. Seemed like Dans only ever stocked L and XL. I know I still have them in storage somewhere (i'm not a hoarder or anything), and if i can dig them up I would probably even send them to you if you are doing a museum for PB. I will contacted you if I find them.

That would be really awesome! Thanks!

And yeah, DANS only ever wanted LG and XL back then. I sold Mediums too, but only to Trend, Albes and the mom-and-pop shops. As far as I know, there was never a small Poor Boy or Allied shirt made. smile

I also frequented the Foundry in Denton when Kevin was running it.  I was stoked to know they opened it in Bedford right down the street from me.  I was then bummed when it was closing.  I scored a bunch of parts before the doors shut.

Re: Who remembers Poor Boy?

I recently traded an Auburn from half with some PB stickers on it. I couldn't find any info about the company at the time though.

http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll93/CBR-TOY/b50c95ce.jpg

The rear also had some stickers
