Who remembers Poor Boy?

I just posted in the Want to Trade section looking for Poor Boy stuff and thought I'd post here as well. Anybody have any good stories, old pics or anything related to Poor Boy Clothing company to share? I own Poor Boy (worked for them '96-'99, then purchased the company in '99) and am a bit nostalgic these days about the brand. Going to try and start collecting some of the stuff when I can find it and eventually would like to have a sort of museum website to show it all. If anyone has any great pics or scans of old Poor Boy stuff, I'd LOVE to see them! Post 'em up!

Old catalogs, stickers, shirts, pants, pads, accessories, jerseys, hats, etc. Post up pics of what you've got!

Thanks!
T.J.

Re: Who remembers Poor Boy?

Not really helpful but my 1996 Ranger I had a "PoorBoi" license plate. ( I just scrapped the truck and found the plates)

It sorta did and sorta didn't. smile There was some legal matters with Poor Boy skateboards over the name and that's when we started Allied. I was working for PB when that happened. Allied sort of replaced Poor Boy as the clothing line, but we transitioned PB BMX (what we had to call it after the dumb lawsuit) into a safety products and accessories company.

As it turned out, Steev was doing Poor Boy clothing long before Poor Boy skateboards started their business, but he wasn't a good record keeper and couldn't prove the dates with hard evidence. sad That skate company has since folded.

I am pretty sure all of my t-shirts I wore them into rags, but I had a bunch.

Re: Who remembers Poor Boy?

More info here than I ever knew! Didn't even know it was a clothing company. All I remember is back around 96 or so I decided to fix up my old goose and I put a set of blue poorboy pads on it that I got at the bike shop. They didn't look like the pads in this thread though. Looked more like Flite pads but said poorboy instead real small. Really liked them...wish I had a pic to share.

Re: Who remembers Poor Boy?

Poorboy was favourite brand back in 1995/96 I had many a T-shirt and a pad set. Most ended up covered in blood and torn to shreads!!

I picked this up from eBay earlier this week. http://www.flickr.com/photos/edfotb/7985245142/in/photostream/

Always keen to buy a new or old Poorboy T-shirt if anyone has one for sale??

Good work dude, bring back Poorboy!

Re: Who remembers Poor Boy?

I do , my BMX friends had the pads , shirts , etc..in fact I watched this on the regular . In the mid to late 90's us BMX'ers and skaters were still thought of as scum...and I was ok with that . lol .

I gave away a lot of my Droors , Fuct , etc...stuff as time went on . There were so many funny , rad companies making clothes and all the stuff was done w/o a care in the world to Copyright Law or Trademarks...it was like ,  " F*ck it , let's make 50 shirts and sell them before the cease & desist letter arrives " . I miss those times .

Re: Who remembers Poor Boy?

I rocked a lot of Poor Boy shirts back in the day. And had stickers on everything.
Loved that company.  I wish I still had them.

These are from 1992, I believe...
