1982 Skyway T/A

Japan made KB serial 1982 TA F&F all original chrome.

I recently took my other 82 apart to use all the black parts on my new Panda then built this one up with a blue on chrome color scheme.
The chrome is all original, frame decals are repro but I left the old faded fork stickers on for nostalgia. Most of the parts are clean survivor except the plate, chain ring, pedals & grips were NOS.
Some of my favorite parts are the original non pinch Flight cranks, Redline stamped Pro size V bars and the Suntour sealed hubs in Pro Class rims.
In the future I'd like to upgrade the headset to a blue ano Tange or Hatta.

Very cool bike. I like the Pro class on there instead of Skyway Tuffs as well.

.Even though i love tuffs on my skyways its awesome to see this with sealed suntours laced to pro class rims. Those hubs are so under rated,i have an original set with the og brown bearings that have been thrashed and still spin like butter.... build

Thank you, it actually has black 1st gen graphites on it dated 10/26/82 my exact 12th B-day so I couldn't resist putting them on this build. Here it is with the rest of the herd which is still growing & changing, once you get that killer survivor built the Skyway addiction will begin :D

Nice herd. All that red, white, blue and chrome makes me proud to be an American.  Nice stable of skyways.

Re: 1982 Skyway T/A

Hello

Do you know why only about 400 1982 Skyway TA Have KB serial Numbers??  Seems like they are in the range of 00500 - 00900  Any info would be great.

Thanks Bob
