Re: My scrap pile

the mongoose solution was one of their top of the line race bikes in the mid 90's and the gt mach one is not a bad bike at all, all of those are better then the crap at walmart. I would have taken the mach one if it weren't gone.

Re: My scrap pile

The frame-only's are destroyed. The solution had a cracked headtube top and bottom, the gt was pounded all over. Yeah I was suprised about the backtrail. Full chromoly frame and fork. Free agent chromoly too. I put all this stuff up for trade too, multiple times. Theres really no "underpriviledged" kids around here, they all have their own bikes.

Correct. And an 80s takagi grande cromo opc.

I have put up free ads on craigs in the past. Even that becomes a friggin nightmare with no-shows and flakes. I end up waiting at home for someone to show and they never do. The scrapper comes the day I call him.

Re: My scrap pile

Take the decal off that Mongoose and you'd have a winner. Nice bike, but easily confused with a Walgoose variety.

you can't be serious? the solution was very far from being a walgoose, it was made long before the walgoose days.

You are not trying very hard.  There are countless charities that would love your bikes and parts. Take a couple of Frankensteins to Goodwill and get your receipt.  Tax write off.  Just make the effort.

Any kid that sees Mongoose on a BMX nowadays thinks Walgoose.

Re: My scrap pile

I've done this too, F**K it sometimes you just want to get rid of shit fast. I could have made Frankenstein bikes but I just don't have the time to build & find a worthy kid to give to. I even tried to give my stuff away to that OGAR club once at a LC bike show, they looked at me like "what you talkin bout Willis" Oh well neutral
