1983 Profile Racing Champ Pro

All survivor parts

My 1983? Profile Racing champ pro. Survivor condition frame and Tange forks. unsure about the handlebars and stem. Araya rims/Sunshine hubs (thanks Larry), Sugino cranks, unsure seat/post, DC MX900 brakes dated 84, KKT pedals. Everything has been cleaned, polished, degreased/re-greased, and put back together as my rider. Many upgrades to come in the future, but for now just a great bike.

Re: 1983 Profile Racing Champ Pro

And Hutch handlebars.

In any case....very nice!

Hutch Fun Facts: All main line Hutch's with digits only S/N (no letters or baseballs) on the rear drop outs were US made and had their dropouts stamped between late '83 and '86.  Obviously the frame manufacture would occur slightly after that, even if they just threw 'em in a bucket randomly.  There is an obvious date code in that the first 2 digits seem to be the month and the 3rd digit is pretty obviously the last digit of the year running from '83-'86.

Thanks guys! I would say that this is my "grail" but not without all the correct Profile parts. It is a bike Ive always wanted since I was a kid and finally at age 41 I own one smile
