Re: 1980 Roger DeCoster

I had one of these with the aluminum mags. Boy brings me back to being 16 again! I'm probably wrong but if I remember correctly is that a nickol finish? It's been a very long time and I'm not a collector.  Very cool! Jim.......

Re: 1980 Roger DeCoster

Yes, nickel! This build has taken a slight turn. I'm going with black Tuff's and black hardware like seat post clamp, seat and pedals.

Very clean bike. I really enjoyed my 2 DeCoster while I had them. They didn't look nearly as nice as yours of course..

Re: 1980 Roger DeCoster

Hay Machineman. I saw an old post that you had about handlebars from 1980. I have a 1980 Hutch that has ULGY thruster bars on it and I would like to swap them out for something with a straight crossbar but I'm having the same trouble you had. seams like all the cool bars like HUTCH, GT, and Powerlite didn't come out until later. I was wondering what you ended up going with. I know Race inc. made a set of Cro-Mo bars but again, I'm not sure if they were 1980 or not. So far I have found that SE Racing, Cook Bros, Thruster, and JMC were available at that time but all are WAY out of my price range.
