Re: Lightest Bmx you know of....?

How about the titanium Titan's. Nothing was lighter for a mini or Junior setup. As far as a Pro set up I would say any of the early aluminum frames. FMF, PK Ripper, Race Inc, etc..

I always heard it was the DB formula one or a Hutch.

My F1 was very light, but I want to say it was about 21lbs stock or just under that. I don't remember for sure.

Imagine 1 1/8" threadless, and a 1 pc or CNC'd sprocket on this..     A 1 1/8 stem, wouldn't scare me like those bars do either.

The one that had a build thread on this site?
Theres lots of light bike's.  Today's minis are under 10 lbs easily.  And as stated befire a 15lb pro sized redline is probably as light as it gets these days.

Re: Lightest Bmx you know of....?

Yes the one that had the build thread.  It was like 15.6 pounds or something like that.  He made a sign that said "pick me up".  Very nice build.

Re: Lightest Bmx you know of....?

Wow nice info ... love it ..... but I'm curious out of a chrome moly framed bike what is the lightest and if you put new product on would it be even lighter .... or with the new style of chrome moly frames and the new materials I wonder if anybody can build one lighter but still can be road on the street
