1983 Huffy Thunder

One Day Build

Bought this bike about a year ago for $15.  It had a blue waffle seat and period correct grips for my pro thunder build.  A lot cheaper than buying them online.  I also used the stem on my pro thunder.  Fast forward this week and was talking with my neighbor and his son needed a bike.  Considering I'm the crazy neighborhood guy with around 20 bikes I told him I'd see what I could do.  I taped the decals and resprayed the bike white.  The fork was originally white, but thought the orange brought out the color of the decals.  I stripped the bars to bare metal and sprayed them with metallic paint (I love that stuff).  I took the stem and grips off of an old Schwinn cruiser in the garage.  Probably the coolest bike in the neighborhood apart form my son's 1980 pro thunder and my newly purchased Motomag.
