1986 Dyno Compe
1986 Dyno Compe
Mostly survivor Electric Blue 1986 Dyno Compe *Sold*
I always had a thing for the GT/Dyno electric blue bikes. Purchased the frame and fork from museum member Crowdaddy. This was going to be a full restore but I just couldn't bring myself to remove the original finish, so I just cleaned it and built it from there. I'm really glad I didn't strip it, the OG finish and decals just add so much more character. Still has all of its normal wear and battle wounds from its glory days.
Heres a parts breakdown:
Frame & Fork: 1986 Dyno Compe
Bars: GT Pro
Stem: GT Freestyle Mallet
Headset: GT Epoch - Plastic Cap
Seat: GT BMX made by Viscount
Post: Drain Pipe
Clamp: GT
Levers: Dia-Compe Tech 4 (Stamped 10/1985)
Calipers: Dia-Compe 890 (Stamped 12/1985)
Cranks: SR
Pedals: SR SP-518
Chainwheel: GT
Freewheel: Suntour
Wheels: XRims Y-303 rims laced to JoyTech hubs
Tires: Odyssey Frequency-G 20x1.75 Tanwalls
Rotor: Unknown (Columbia Freestyle?)
Grips: A'ME Tri's
Here is a pic of the bike as I received it:

Re: 1986 Dyno Compe
Hey barkzine,is your frame full chromoly,I recently bought an 1986 electric blue Dyno Compe which has the tri- chromoly decals on the frame and are the original decals? Does this mean my frame is not full chromoly?
