I just sold one 2 days ago EXACT , it was an 83.

The 70's... We had no knee pads, no over protective soccer moms, no mini vans, if you messed up it was actually your own fault, and we rocked out to 8 tracks, cassettes and vinyl.  THAT'S HOW WE ROLLED!

Yeah, that looks like a later one. Mine is a '79.

Re: Huffy Sweet Thunder!

I just got another one of these yesterday at the flea market smile

The 1st number and 5th number combined together is the year.
The 2nd through 4th numbers are the day of the year it was made.
Huffy is the manufacturer.
26 is the wheel size.
Last three numbers are the model.
80517huffy26434 translates to a 1987 Huffy Good Vibrations made on February 20th.
Got info from Huffy customer service 1-800-872-2453.

Re: Huffy Sweet Thunder!

I used to beat the heck out of my sisters Sweet Thunder.  If you sit way back on the seat, those things are a wheelie machine!  good times.
