Re: Let's learn about Anodizing

That's a very nice piece of reading material! However, anodizing IS NOT as easy as it seems. There are MULTIPLE steps that need to be done to achieve the finish that we all desire. The DIY kits leave too much to be desired to bother with. It's always best to let the pros do what they do best!

Definitely, I'm yet to see any spectacular results from someone's home kit

Re: Let's learn about Anodizing

I was considering doing some at home with a kit, but the more I read, I thought this could suck.... Leave it to the pros for sure!!

Re: Let's learn about Anodizing

i used to work in an annodizing /machine shop,Mainly a conventional machinist.I used to help out in the anno dept. Beleive me it takes serious eqpt. to pull off the real anno. look.I still talk to the owners and mentioned maybe doing some parts for me.they said they would. But i was wondering if there was a large enough demand to maybe get some done for bmxers?

I think there would be a pretty good demand. Get a post out to all the bmx sites asking people what kind of things they need done, and how many items currently to they need done.

THIS IS A 90'S RARE GEM - MR. HOFFMAN, MR. HAWK AND MANY OTHER CELLEBRITIES WOULD BE PROUD TO HAVE THIS BIKE AMONG THEIR COLLECTION.

Re: Let's learn about Anodizing

After 3 tries with the home kit, built up by endorific, i successfully anodized my suntour headlock.  It came out absolutely perfect.  I'll post pics as soon as I pull them off of my camera at home.
