1979 Roger DeCoster

This is the second bike I had as a kid, only I had the polished short frame.  I built this as best as I had it way back then, except I had a red Addix sprocket on it.  That sprocket seemed to move fro

OK, so now for the thanks, plugs, and sponsor....  I got the frame from museum member Mandia.  It had a stuck seat pole and the finish was really bad.  It had been spray bombed several times black, spray chrome, silver, and a few bad strip jobs.  I eventually found some OEM  blue in the BB so thats what I went with.  Took it to my fav Denver area powder coater, and they did a great job.  Got some stickers from BMX products, a pair of Tange TX-500B forks from One Stop Bike Shop in Denver and the rear Tuff I  from museum member ESW, and the front Tuff I from ebay bike part seller dbnichols2011. DJ/EFX hooked me up on the seat, bars, crank, spider and chain ring.  Got the Chain Ring and Tuf Neck done blue at S & S Anodizing in Commerce City, and the tires from the Ft Collins Bike Co-Op.
This was a fun build, and I love the look that this came out with, it looks GOOOD!

The 70's... We had no knee pads, no over protective soccer moms, no mini vans, if you messed up it was actually your own fault, and we rocked out to 8 tracks, cassettes and vinyl.  THAT'S HOW WE ROLLED!
