Need help what model and year GT do i have
The guy i bought it from told me it was an 88 pro series a friend of mine doesn't think so..So now I'm wondering. 
I've been all over the bike i can't find a serial number anywhere it does have GT stamped on the rear dropouts...I need a gt guy to help me out here please.

That for sure looks like a Pro series frame, but I am not sure of the year. The SS# would 4 sure tell you what year the bike is, and I am sure the SS# is somewhere underneath all that paint on one of the rear drop outs or bottom bracket unless it was removed before it was painted or powder coated.

I found the serial 10871570 it was on the rear dropout..That would make it an 87 right?

It is a Oct 1987 frame built to be sold in and as a 1988 model. I am not sure if those are the correct forks. You might want to look at some others in the museum. That is not the correct seat either.

The pedals and crank are not correct either and are much newer then the frame is.

The pedals are primos and i don't believe the forks are og the have a weird shape they taper down like a tear drop. The crank arms just say GT 4130?

The cranks are GT stamped profiles. The only thing original to that bike is the frame. Looks like most all the other stuff came from a 90's GT And other 90's bikes..

Yea it rides sweet the black looks awesome up close he said it was double coated..Thanks again for all of your help.

Talked to the guy i got the bike from today he claims the bike is a team model? Said the fame forks and crank was OG..Anyone know anything about a 88 pro series (team) Or is he full of BS?

He is full of it. Those are not GT Forks,and the GT Profile cranks that are on your bike did not come out until the 90's..
