Re: 1996 S&M Holmes

loving on the build. i'm actually tossing my old holmes together as we speak. just wondering, are the 990's a low profile design? i wasn't sure if i could fit my old 33t s&m sprocket on it with my normal 990 set up without a clearance issue. whatis your gearing? 33/16?

thanks for any info. :)

Re: 1996 S&M Holmes

I run a 33/12 and use Odyssey's Evo 2's. They pretty lolw profile. I keep my chain decently tight but I don't use tensioners so of course it's gonna slip now and then, and it has rubbed a tad on the brake arm on the drive side but not too bad, so yeah I think if you threw the S&M sprocket back on there you should be fine...Works even better with a 13t in the rear i imagine.

Damn that is nice I can tell that the angles of this Holmes is what they used for the later 38 Specials.
