Re: Cheap Redline & Torker decals

planetX you are the man. excellant work! i finally got my torker decals from sbs and it was exactly as you had described, the fork and seat tube decals were fine, but the rest were useless. i hope something comes of this and i hope they do the vertical headtube sticker as that is the one i need the most. i cant thank you enough for following up on this and making things happen

I want to apoligize in advance for not reading the entire thread or doing any research whatsoever before i post my comments.

Re: Cheap Redline & Torker decals

Gork emailed this a.m. and said they should have new ones based on my art in 90-100 days. That's not written in stone, but. . .

And,  the good news for you, my set includes the headtube decal you, need.

Cheers,

Michael

Re: Cheap Redline & Torker decals

Keep me posted on when and where I can get a set of your decals.  I've just started restoring my 79 Torker and will be needing a full set of decals as mine are all scratched up.  I'll post pics when I'm done, but if you need any pics for comparison, I can get the "before" pics up.

Re: Cheap Redline & Torker decals

I did some art for them, but no telling when SBS will print them. I did them in yellow with purple. I've also seen blue and white, but don't know if SBS will do those, too.

SBS has my art for almost all pre-bankruptcy Torker decals and some 280 Air.

Here's what I sent them.

Re: Cheap Redline & Torker decals

Here is everything I sent them, except for the handlebar stickers.

I plan to do a pre-1979 set, which would have the 1976-1978 stickers for the MX, Big Bike and early L.P.s. Many of those are in the 1979-1982 pack.

Re: Cheap Redline & Torker decals

I picked up this frame and was told it is a 86ish Torker 2 280 air. If this is true I could use  a frame set as well.

Re: Cheap Redline & Torker decals

Planet Nice work!! I still have not done anything with my 78 Torker. I'll hit you up for info on the correct stickers for that when I get the frame/forks rechromed.

BTW when are you gonna start selling t-shirts with the bike parts you have illustrated on them? Would love a DC 1000 shirt big_smile

Re: Cheap Redline & Torker decals

It's funny how these old threads somehow rise to the top months, even years, after they were pronounced dead.

wdesign, do I have your SN? Is it an LP? I'm really curious about the 1978 LPs. I know so little about them and the only photo I know of it's a little different. Trying to figure out when changes, if any, were made to it.

Also, check out my Blog. I just started posting Torker stuff there. My SN list and I'm adding a "chapter" a day of the Torker history that I complied and wrote.  Also some number plate stuff. It's new, so I'm just getting a feel for things. http://fortyfour16.wordpress.com/

And, become a fan of Forty Four 16 on Face Book, too. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Forty-Fou … 64?ref=sgm

Cheers,

Michael
