Well, I'll leave it up to Eric (Ohioguy31) to answer that. He is the one painting it. If I remember correctly. It is PPG and it is an epoxy primer.

Re: My Streetbeats gettin color

What color are you painting it?  I just got an NOS 'Raw' Street Beat F/F that was powder coated white by Chip at C4 Labs.  Yours looks like an 85 like mine.

I thought about polishing the cages. I may get another set to polish and try that later. Eric will have to answer the color of the Haro question.

Re: My Streetbeats gettin color

UPDATE TIME!!!

Eric did some basecoating the frame and small parts. Also made a trial run at the paint itself on the cages and calipers.

Re: My Streetbeats gettin color

wes,

What product did you use to strip the paint off the parts?  I have a couple of projects and I would like to do the same thing.

Thanks

Re: My Streetbeats gettin color

A lil of both of these.
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a392/weshole/Bikes/IMG_0228.jpg

The Tal-strip is as good as aircraft stripper without the harsh ammonia smell (it's still strong). Def wear some skin protection woth it though. It burns the same as aircraft stripper. Have some cold water available in case you do.

Re: My Streetbeats gettin color

It's Orange and I am going for white parts to accent the bike. I havent even seen it in person yet. I can't wait to though. It's got me excited to say the least.
