Re: 1996 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

real nice  i like the bars on there two  way better than having the brused knees after riding
i just bought some bars like that for my performer i think there a little later model they have a extra weld on the side
nice bike though i like it and for $80.00 cool what did you add on anything?

We have probably met at some bike event.

Re: 1996 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

Just got it about a week ago and not sure about this years models,(reserching is how I came across this site)just going off the stikers.

As you know stickers can be changed, I thinking of making it a CW, LOL.

I don't know maybe it's a performer or something else, what do you guys think? (fs 10950496)

Re: 1996 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

The only thing I've added are some handlebar end caps, the grips would push out over the old ones.

Re: 1996 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

Othervoicez, i know what are you talking about.... The next bars that GT made were the GT VERT bars. I got two of them right now, a 1996 model and a 2000 one :)

Re: 1996 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

it dose'nt say team on the the main down tube sticker, its on the bars going down to the back rim.

I don't know stickers look pritty good for being 10+ years old, may not be the original stickers?

awnessly the only thing that make me think it's more then a performer or a vertigo is the location of the back brakes.

rims, handle bars, brakes, not original, Thanks for the info.

Re: 1996 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

A friend of mine had the Fubar bars on his bike.. They were really good but one day he had a strange bail from a jump and he bent the left side of them..

Re: 1996 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

The ones that you think they suit better to your bike. And i think that you don't have to change them.....at least this what i believe

Re: 1996 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

Yeah!!
I noticed that!

I love your current wheels!
Can you post a closer picture of these rims and hubs (rear one)?
Also i heard that you're thinking to sell your second PFT....why is that?

Btw, VERY nice mate ;)

Re: 1996 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

yea I thinking of selling it cause I like some money to build my performer up or something else, I don't know.
I have more fun building them and I can only ride one at a time, you know what I mean?

Re: 1996 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

Ofcourse....i love building them too.. sometimes i build my friends bikes just for nothing. :D
And sometimes i hate it when i don't even have the time to ride them..

I just don't know...my midschool favorite rims were the Araya Super 7xs... i think that Weinmann 2525 just become one of them!!

Re: 1996 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

Total hotness...!

Btw, what's the difference between "high flange" and "Superlace" ?

Re: 1996 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

they are both high flanged but on the superlace the holes in the hub are staggered for a little more strength to them.
