I agree, I use to be all over this thread, it’s just full of everything other that early mid.Start a new thread.. 1987-1993 only... Just be more specific
This was the thread!! Shouldnt have to start another because people cant figure shit out.
Exactly this! The original post clearly states the dates of bikes that were to be discussed. It’s not an invitation to discuss what Mid School is, or what your opinion on the dates are. If people can’t read the first post, or don’t have bikes from that time frame to contribute, then move along.
This thread has been ruined by trolls and self proclaimed professors who didn’t even read the OP.

Haha. Yes, I like them a lot! Some people like all the rare and exotic stuff like Technique, PMC, etc, but for me the GT crank was the ultimate. It worked flawlessly, lasted forever, and could be raced, jumped, and freestyled.

That is a collection of some kick ass rides. Nice work. It's given me some inspiration to get started on the Free Agent's and Cyclecraft cruiser I have sitting in the garage...

To call it slow going is a vast understatement lol... it was supposed to go to Frank The Welder for repairs but he backed out twice due to work load, then a local that welds for Chip Ganassi Indy Car team took it on, but his racing season is in full swing and I’m not sure if he has touched it yet. It has honestly turned into a bit of a head ache for me, which is a bummer because it makes me less excited about the bike in general.

Helluva lineup, although you are a better man than I if you win motos on that Performer!
Question: How does that FA cruiser ride? I have an '88 frame waiting to be built, so I'm curious to know what to expect.

Pretty good. My foot seems to run against the front tire a lot but I recently changed tree cranks and I think that did the trick. It’s one of my go to bikes!

Re: Who are the true early mid-school collectors out there?
Grabbed a 1999 pork Awile back, had a couple S&M's
Plan to get my hands on a hawk cruiser at some point. The redman's have been catching my attention lately. Which is weird as I have been a self professed "old school" collector. But, my tastes have been changing to this era bike a lot more over the 2/3 years.
How many redlines can I build. Lol. Here are the two latest pick ups, 87 rs1 and 94 cr20r which put me right at the start and finish of this post guide lines.
At first, I thought Mabey it was a price thing, as some of the early mids were still a bit more affordLe than the older pricing. But, as I get into it more, the mids can be just as and sometimes more. I rocked PMC hubs in 95. And wow the price on a nice set sure has jumped. Now I can scroll back and read through this whole post..... Here a re a couple pics.

My 97 Kastan built DK 24 XL cruiser as raced..Kovachi wheel set, GT/ Profiles, DX brakes, Blackwell comp III’s, It was cool having a job that would let ya buy all the great parts.
Please.....no Tuff Wheels on full on race bikes...original graphite’s only and pre 81
Let me guess you were factory sponsored in
the 80’s...
Please no colored tires on race bikes...
So how many years were you a Pro....

I wouldn't call that an early mid school bike, but it sure is special.
