1984 Hutch Trick Star
1984 Hutch Trick Star
Rare early 1984 Trick star with "no" rear standers, and "no" fork pegs.
I got this as a Trick star frame, and some Redline forks. The OG owner bought it that way from his LBS BITD. I got the original receipt from that faithfull day in 1984. Anyway I wanted to get the trickstar forks it deserverd, so I put out a WTB for Judge/first gen Trickstar forks. Well the WTB thread pay'ed off by way of a link to an eBay listing. I got a cracked 84 frame with some spray bombed forks. The paint cleaned off revealing the og chrome. Woo Hoo!! The steer tube even had the og Freestyle coin decal on it, being perfect for me frame. I got some NOS decals from "Earls Stuff" and only used the forks and top tube coin decal...the rest of the decals are og. I then built her up with a lot really nice survivor parts, and a couple mint/nos ones to. All og finish (except the polished ACS tech III style locking levers), all OG decals( except the NOS forks and coin decal on TT), no reproduction parts. Enjoy

Re: 1984 Hutch Trick Star
mmmmm...the chrome Trick Star was my dream bike BITD. I remember drooling over the full page ad in the BMX mag showing a bike like yours. That was the closest a kid who lived on a dirt road in rural NC could get to one of those beauties. Maybe one day.....

Re: 1984 Hutch Trick Star
Very nice. I like the skyway finned brake pad backing as the spacer for your rear brake. I also did that on my TS. Mine is black anno though.

Re: 1984 Hutch Trick Star
NICE!!!!! Very cool that it does not have the rear frame standers. Check out my early 84 Hutch TS I have the original frame, fork, head set. Mine is just like yours with the early no peg forks however mine has the rear frame standers and white original stickers. I think you'll like it.
