1980 Redline MX-III

Built this for my wife...

..but I'll ride it plenty.

I bought this as a partial from Spaceman - thanks Rob. The frame, fork, headset, Brute stem, seat post, and Elina seat were all og. I had it built with gold components including an appropriate Suzue hf/Ukai shiny side wheelset that was og to another MX bitd, but I've since changed it to what I had originally envisioned for this f/f.
Parts breakdown:
*1980 Japan-made MX-III frame/fork, og paint/decals, serial RJ*OG Redline Brute stem*OG headset*Redline oval-stamped Pro v-bars*Oury grips*Sunshine HF front/LF rear/Araya 7b wheelset*Takagi 175 opc/spider/44T chainring*Tange bb*Izumi nickel chain*Cycle Pro spc*Redline 500b Velo saddle*Strong chromoly seat post*Dia Compe Tech 3 lever/unstamped cable/cable clamps*Shimano Tourney caliper*Cheng Shin 1.75 black wall Compe 3 tires
These old MXs make for very nice riders. Very stout and robust with nice geometry. This bike weighs a shade over 23# and is currently my main bike when my wife isn't riding it smile

Beautiful bike!  Reminds me of my best friends Mx-II when I was in second grade.  He got a blue one and I got red (Christmas 1978).

I don't think member cbahnfleth is yelling farmboy.
Some people write with the capslock and they don't know that this can be taken as yelling.
Just chill guys. TY smile
