This is my 1992 Standard Gardner built Shorty this is a very early pre Waterford Shorty and the 82nd Standard frame ever built. All the parts this bike are original unrestored finishes. Very cool standard is one of my favorite bikes. To see this one in this shape is very cool. Did Kurt or Rick give you this bike? Just to clean and the parts you have are awesome! I'd love to have one of there first shirts they made. When they were dying them there selfs.

I bought directly from Rick and it was the bike I learned how to ride flatland on. I will never restore this frame as it has tons of character and I`m sure it has an amazing history that I don`t know about yet. The 92`s were not available for retail sale only pro riders and friends of Rick were able to get there hands on them as far as I know. The Gardner built Shorties and Lengthys I feel were the best Standards that were built during the mid school era. Thanks for your positive comment

That's right as only friends & pro riders were the first to get the first standard bikes. It actually was a marketing ploy. because BMX had went underground what better way to sell a bike than to let the bike speak for its self. Although Kurt sold his part what's cool is I heard Rick is out there going places talking to people just like it was the first week of his company starting. This is truly one of the raddest bikes on this site!!
