Immediately I think back to Callahan and the season after Gruden went to Tampa. He kept them in order and had one of the best if not the best offense in the league but the D won that superbowl.

Now, isn't Callahan the replacement for Jay Gruden in Washington now? I am curious to see if he can salvage anything in Washington or are they too bad off?  Inquiring minds want to know tongue

They need to get Trent Williams back on the field, run the ball with AP, start playing Haskins...they going no where this season...next year could be interesting with Alex Smith coming back...

Agreed
They have the Darius Guice kid who is injured and is actually supposed to be the starting tailback yikes
All day is no slouch to have as a back up either.
I also agree that they should roll with Haskins. If they completely bench him that could be a big problem for the kid and his learning process. Alex Smith is a solid QB that's very underrated.  He's not going to throw for 300 to 400 yards a game plus 3 or 4 TDs. He is a solid game manager and doesn't make mistakes as far as turning the ball over or throwing a bunch of picks.
I wonder how he is going to look when he gets back and is cleared  to play. He suffered a crazy injury and all the people in the know questioned if he would be able to come back or if that was the end of his career as a NFL QB. I like Alex Smith and he's been a good QB for any of the teams that he has played for.

Darius Guice is INJ prone...AP only has this year & maybe another year left...

I agree with you on Alex Smith...

Yup, Guice seems like he'll be good IF he can ever stay healthy.  I don't watch college ball so not sure if he was injury prone then too but so far not so good in the pros.

Ugh, I missed that one last night. Close score. I bet it was a good game too. Green Bay and Detroit usually is.

The Lions have been pretty decent this season from what I have seen. Hopefully this is the year that the Lions will win that division and make the playoffs. If they don't win the division, at least be one of the wildcard teams cool

Crazy when you look at how much talent they've had on that team since Stafford was drafted.

Packers are my boys but Detroit got screwed. I don't understand why the NFL doesn't just make everything challengeable.

Re: NFL

I cant stand the Lions, love when they lose. all I ever hear is the REFS the REFS !!!!!

the kittens had more yards on the 1st play of the game than THE ENTIRE 2ND HALF

They rushed for 56 yards TOTAL .   G.B. had 170 yards rushing

Pat Statsford  had like 39 passing yards the the whole 2nd half.

they gave up 447 yards to G.B. ,  the Kittens had 298 Total yards

Kittens had 5 field goals, score touchdowns and win the game, they always need the other team to screw up.

every Monday after a loss or in this case Tuesday, all I do is laugh listening to local sports media all day. the highlight of my day

The first one I think was but it was the other (left?) hand that was not visible on most of the angles that they called.

Guice had ACL last year and cartilage tear this year. AP didnt come back sooner then Guice has been out this year??

William's ain't gonna play for team, they should have traded him but the FO is inept to be polite. Alex Smith ain't coming back you fools. Especially not with Skins, they shoulda asked him 2 retire and hired him as QB coach instead of Tim Rattay AND honored his salary. This woulda cut cap without having dead money
