Finally got a pic of my Square (known as ODB in certain circles). Man I miss this truck!

Re: Square Body Chevy's-Who's a fan?

First vehicle I ever had was a '64 C10 with a 283 and a three on the tree. I've also had a '74 stepside with a 250, and an '80 1/2 ton with a 250. I love the straight sixes, torquey, simple, and reliable.

These 2 aren't exactly square bodies, but what the hell.

My 99 Silverado 4.8, bought it new, just turned over 100k on a trip to Florida last fall, then got in an accident in Tennessee on the way home and totaled it (although we were still able to drive the rest of the way home.)

The replacement. Silverado 1500 5.3 4x4. This truck is so sweet. First 4X4 pickup I've ever had, although I've had several Jeeps and a Bronco. i can't wait to pull my trailer with this, it's going to be so much nicer than the red truck. If I keep this one for 15 years, I'll be friggin 60 yikesmadlol I hope we still have gas then. I keep shit forever.

This one has pretty square lines at least.

I love Chevy trucks. I had one F150 and the aforementioned Bronco, but I'm hardcore Chevy at heart.

Man that is a clean one. Normally they are all beat to hell. The only thing that needs is to be towing a blown alky drag boat.cool

Thanks man! It was from AZ and was as straight and solid as they come! Now there wasn't a lick of wiring or weatherstripping that wasn't completely dried out, though!

A blown flatty or Sanger drag hydro would have been right at home on the back of that thing.

Sad part is I sold it to a guy in Bakersfield and he absolutely destroyed the truck.

'89-'91 front end is my absolute favorite. Been itching to snag a CUCV lately though...

Re: Square Body Chevy's-Who's a fan?

I had three K5 Silverado 4×4 Blazers ,and a GMC Jimmy fullsize, My last one had 8" lift  no block lift  35" Bf Goodrich tires One ton8 lug  rear axle with 3/4 ton 8 lug front axle 4/11 gears , 700 R4 trans , and a 383 stroker kit. Mad Muscle truck , Had much fun in that in 3feet of snow  Unstopable monstered through blizzards a many times never wearing a plow. These trucks always started had 275 to 350 thousand miles when I retired them to strip their parts n scrap their chassis.

Re: Square Body Chevy's-Who's a fan?

I'm a fan.... I have 2 88 Burbs and an 87 1/2 Ton Short Box....  Too bad they are all Michigan trucks and full of rust sad

I also have a 79 GMC C-35 that came from Kansas so it's actually pretty solid.

Crappy dark pic last night. 1974 C10. Just picked it up. Straight 6, 3 on the tree! Rusty but pretty damn cool truck to drive

Ooh... I really like that one. Some day I'll have a 73 or 74 shorty.
