Re: 1987 Visage

Super rare....I remember seeing the ad for these bikes in BMX Plus magazine for a very short time. Never saw one of these in person or knew anyone who had one.

This was the ad:

Re: 1987 Visage

I remember checking out the magazine ad, but I don't think I saw a Visage in person (well.... I might have at the 1987 or 88 AFA Masters in Austin if any of those guys were there).   Nice find.

Jeff Cotter was a badass flatlander.

Re: 1987 Visage

Rolaid inventor Derek Schott used to ride for them also, I think...

I like to wear sneakers on my hands because it's much better when you crash - and if you're wearing sneakers on your hands, you're gonna crash.

Derek used to ride for jamis Laser, but even back then, Jamis and Visage were sorta similar lol.the laser had a protruding twin tube loop in front of the headtube and a super slow head tube angle. Either way, never saw anyone riding one, besides Derek, same thing with visages. Had that same ad in my mind when I first saw the bike. cool find though!

Jeff Cotter could hang with the best of them. I don't think anyone saw him ride one.  The head tube was 68 or 69 degrees!

Could be wrong but I think Doug built/owned the legendary Camarillo ramp.
