Re: 1980 Huffy Pro Lightning

I had a Pro Lightning, and your bike brought back great memories.  I loved it, and spent many of my years riding it.
Nice bike, it makes me wish I still had mine.

Re: 1980 Huffy Pro Lightning

That's not a standard "Pro Lightning", it's a "Pro Lightning Chrome Moly". Completely different frame, even the seat post (which looks similar) is a different size. And the tubing should be Tange. You're under-selling it smile

I've never heard of a 1980, or maybe I forgot, but I'm pretty sure Huffy launched these in 1981. Where did you get the 1980 date?

Re: 1980 Huffy Pro Lightning

Never mine, brain fart. Pro Lightning came out in 1980, the knockoffs by Skyway came out in 1981.

Re: 1980 Huffy Pro Lightning

We see now where Skyway got the idea for the T/A tubing...
