1985 Hutch Hollywood

An original (I believe) Hollywood (Pro Racer) that has been powdered or repainted (I don't know the difference!) and has had replacement decals fitted.

The forks have not been drilled for a front brake, has any members seen this before? Does this perhaps show that the frame and forks started life as an intended Pro Racer prior to being sent to the 'paint shop'?
The job now is to slowly put together a complete bike that will most probably follow my Pro Star(ish) in using as much Hutch OG components as I can afford together with other parts that I drooled over back in the day :-)

Re: 1985 Hutch Hollywood

Is there a serial #? All Hollywoods had serials, and the forks are def pre serial ProRacer/Pro Star as they were undrilled.
Also the first Hollywoods were sold in 1985.

Re: 1985 Hutch Hollywood

Hey, thanks for the post, yeah mate, the frame has a serial number starting 014. It is in the same style as my Pro Star and is fitting to the style that is stated as being that constructed in the US.

Gonna have a Hollywood in the future. What's the status on this set.  Was it ever built up?

Re: 1985 Hutch Hollywood

Hi mate, no the frame and forks are still as they are. They have a Judge (Blue with Pro Racer forks) as company now. I think they will only ever share the parts of the Pro Star. Well, unless I pick lucky numbers ;-)
