Re: VIDEO of MY MAN CAVE - My Bikes, My Arcade & EVERYTHING ELSE PILED UP

that video dosent do that cave justice!!! it is unreal in person.  I didnt get to see your display cases for the star wars figures, it turned out awesome.  Brian does everything this way..to perfection and over the top.  He dosent just buy this stuff , he restores a lot of the games himself, cabnits and everything.  He is a real craftsman

DUDE!!! That's so FREAKIN' RAD!!! One of these days I'll finally set mine up-That is when I get my home back. And I got the chops for designing it. Love the lighting and everything. How many square feet is the cave and how many square feet is the house? Please let me know. Cheers God Bless brother. Merry Christmas.

Suffering in style!

I get this question often so here it is to save everyone time. I do not have any Mongoose DMC decals left. I was lucky enough to find a small bunch of NOS decal sets in an old bike shop that no longer exists and I have since sold them all. Sorry. I wish you all the best of luck with your DMC builds.

I've been meaning to do this for a while.  Do a video of my Man Cave.  I collect a lot of stuff and some is displayed there.  I need to build some displays for some different stuff that I collect as well, but that'll be a while.  The insurance company wanted me to do it and I was dragging my feet.  I finally did a quick vid today.  A little shaky, but it works.  This is where I spend most of my time.  My wife gets the upstairs of the house and I am forced to suffer down here:

Very cool man cave B! Even if it were mine, I'd still stack quarters on the lower ledge of the display glass, just out of habbit! lol

Pretty sweet set-up, really.
At first I missed the bold lettering telling me to click the picture to play it ... I thought "Nice, he's posted a picture of his closet with an 'Arcade' Sign ... great." I'm glad you shared it and not your electric bill.

Man, I'll be spending 10 days in Wi for Christmas, with nothing to do. Can I come over and hang out?? big_smile Really cool set up. The sound alone takes me back to the days of hanging out in the arcade. My only gripe is the Randy Moss jersey!! lol..... thanks for sharing.

Re: VIDEO of MY MAN CAVE - My Bikes, My Arcade & EVERYTHING ELSE PILED UP

Tks again fellas!  Its a work in progress!  To answer some questions:

GAry wrote:

Wow, very nice..which Robotron works better? dedicated or the one with 4 games..
The glo in the dark frames displays make more sense..now that I saw rest of the room..
Looks awesome, straight out of the 80's//..

Robotron plays the same on this one.  It is an arcade board that was programed with all the original software files, directly from the original chips on the original board.  It takes up less space than 7 machines, plus a lot more reliable and trouble free.  I used the original Robotron joysticks when building the machine for the exact same feel as well.

where did ya got those carpet?  custom order?

Nah, special order, but not custom.   Any carpet store sells gameroom carpet.  Its actually getting really popular.

Can you get me some info on the video jukebox system you have there, I'd like to do something similar.

BTW, are you on Arcade-Museum/KLOV?

The juke operates on MAME, same as the multigame machines.  A friend built that for me.  He's a computer guy.  I can work on 80's electronics all day long, but I'm a computer dumbasss.  I'm sure that you can just Google "mAME jukebox" and get easy how to instructions.  I am on KLOV.  I used to be really active.  I just recently started browsing there again for parts.

One question....wheres the bar ?

Had that and it never got used.  My friends all drink beer.  I have a small basement and something had to go!

slatzman wrote:

Very very nice!! Now where's galaga?

Look closer.  Its in the Multi Pacman machine.

I've owned about 300+ machines over the years.  I've had a few of each - at the same time.  I think I had 9 Space Invaders at one point!

Again everyone, thanks for the compliments!
