Re: GT Serial Number

I have what I believe to be a 1996 GT Interceptor.
Serial # is YC96040326 and it is on the BB.
I am in Australia though so might not be US made??

Re: GT Serial Number

I have two pro freestyle tours and one on the way, and they all have the "fs" followed by the sel# stamped on the rear drop out.
other people have seen the "fs" on pro performers also, but I beleave these frames were ment to be pft. so what ever the sel#, you have a pro freestyle tour.

Re: GT Serial Number

yes if u have an FS stamped its a PFT.....Performerss....Vertigos....had YC or GH.....i think even Pro Peformers were GH...the think about PFT and Pro Peformers is that they are really close in design that they may think its a Pro Perf...but really a PFT......PFT were the only frames with FS i am 99% positive

Re: GT Serial Number

OK my "97" GT Speed Series Team XL Box threw something at me I dont understand.

The serial is: 08985113 E XL

So....I know it was made in August of 98 (making it a 99? or is it a 98?) and was # 5,113 off the line (maybe one of the last that year if it was a 98?)

Whats the E mean?

I know the XL is frame size....

Re: GT Serial Number

OK- Adding my frame to the list.  I have an '88 GT Performer.

Serial:  D S 8 0204396

I'm guessing that this is a Feb. 1988 build?  Is this USA frame or other?

"g490042886" this number is real GH90042886, which makes it april 1990 #2886 made overseas, most likly a performer.

Re: GT Serial Number

ok i have two GT speed series i think? the boxier race frame. one came complete and the forks say 1998 on them and the serial # is on the bottom bracket. its AN8050030 and i cant tell what the last # is because its is was welded over. the other one looks a little newer and the serial # is on the inside of the left drop out i believe. and its looks like yours with the e XL on the end. are the XL's 20.75 or 21 inch top tubes? is one made in america and one made overseas?
