1998 Fabweld FW-01 24

My Fabweld factory team bike.

This is the bike that revolutionized the way cruisers were built. Bold statement, but very true. Up until these bikes came out cruisers had super long chainstays, most of them in the 16" to 17" range. Fabweld's goal was to build a short rear end cruiser that came out of the gate and jumped like a 20", so Greg Esser designed the FW-01. The asymmetrical rear end resulted in a 15" chainstay length, and it wasn't long before every other company was copying it. I had the pleasure of working and racing for the Essers in '98, '99 and 2000, and this is my original factory team bike. Our co-sponsors for those seasons were GT-85, Answer, Cane Creek, Sweet Bros., Alex rims and JP.

Truly a peice of art. Nice ride.

It's all for sale. Chrome frames suck. Real men rock reflectors.

Text me pictures for repair work. It's the easy way to get ahold of me. 8124997173

I'm sometimes a slow shipper, three kids and a business. Sorry for any delays.

I gotta get me some of those brakes... So cool.  Were those in production, or just made up in the shop?
Ever make them in purple??
