RAMPS, Gates, Half pipes, Lets see what you built for BMX
Let's see some do-it-yourself skills when it comes to homemade BMX projects. Post backyard ramps, pipes, gates, tracks, etc... anything you built that enhances any aspect of BMX.
Purpose is to give ideas and building tips.
Here's a starting gate built for my kids and others in the neighborhood. Quick release spring for quick starts and balancing.
I'm thinking about doing a quarter pipe next.
Now please post what you've got.
All i need is mid 80s CW Racing forks.

Here's my little weekend project I put together, an 8 foot grind box:
Here's a video of me playing with it on day 1: http://vimeo.com/25611157
Oh your bike doesn't have a scratch on it?
Tell me again what the best parts are.

My dad and I built an 8'x8' quarter pipe in our driveway back in '85 but I can't find any pics of us riding it

Welds? It looks like Sea Gull Crap! Just a little welder Humor Bro, it looks great but a bit heavy I bet. The Idea of a few ramps has been hanging around in the back of my mind. My youngest boy is all for it!

Re: RAMPS, Gates, Half pipes, Lets see what you built for BMX
I started building this in 1985 or 86 and it grew from a 1/4 pipe into this monster. Best backyard investment I ever made. If I didn't have a homeowner's association I'd be building one for the "kids" too.
There's a pretty cool story to go with this ramp here: http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=214441

No doubt, and stay away on hot days. I remember riding metal at SK8 Underground - you could grill burgers around 1 PM in the summer!
