2006 Fit Aitken S3

This is a real beauty!!! This is the bike I decided to build after I built my 2001 GT Tour 2. My GT was a tank so I decided to build the lightest possible full freestyle bike that money could buy (money not being an option!) I think my wife almost had a heart attack because of the cost of this bike. This is one sweet riding bike. Rides so smooth and beautiful and it has this sweet spot for doing manuals that I've never seen before. This bike is the best of the best! Every part on it was hand picked by me to keep the weight under control. It took quite awhile to get the color combo the way I wanted it and to order in the right parts, but was well worth it. The total weight comes in at 26lbs. I'm not sure what the lightest is but this has to be close considering it has everything on it. This bike is sweet!!!

Re: 2006 Fit Aitken S3

Seriously it weighed in at...ok 26.7lbs.  It has aluminum pegs with lighter Evolver 2's and a titanium spindle and the Ben Hure hubs a very light as well.  I was so picky with the parts and the weight I was almost being fanatical.  The Sunday forks and S2 Superlight bars make a huge difference as well.  The pedals are the Odyssey plastic Twisted pedals which believe it or not are lighter than the Fly Reubens.  I actually weighed out both at the bike shop.  What else...oh yeah the chain is a machined KMC Superlight and not to mention the starting point (the frame) weighing only 4.7lbs.

Re: 2006 Fit Aitken S3

After Christmas I will have my Master fully restored.  Keep your eye out for it.  I changed the color combo to the 88' blue/black colors.  The Master is my first actual full restoration from the ground up.  It's looking real good.  I'm lining up my next which will be a 88' Team Sport.  Having a hard time trying to figure out what colors to go with though.  Any ideas?

Hey Chromey, you'd love this thing man!  This bike rides super smooth and the geometry rocks!  Manuals oh so sweet and jumps like wild jack rabbit!

Re: 2006 Fit Aitken S3

Ok, are ready for this?  ...$2400CND!  Yeah I know my wife said the same thing every night for about a week.  I paid sticker price on everything I'm sure but they always gave me 10 - 15% off everytime.  heck the wheels alone I think cost little over $500.  the frame was $450 on sale from $499.  It was a costly venture definately but man do kid's heads turn when I take this baby out for a ride I tell ya!  It is a pretty sweet bike and only 26.7lbs. to boot! The cost you pay for piecing a bike together! Definately worth it to buy a complete!!!

Re: 2006 Fit Aitken S3

hey xtremevert! :
this is a great ride!, it seems like it has the odyssey all proupose tires, i actually own a gt vertigo 1997 (which is a cool bike but is SO heavy, and i think of geting rid of it) and i placed those wheels on it, im still considering about buying the dyno zone 1999, the dyno zone has dyno hoop d tyres 20 x 1.95, the odyssey wheels are 20 x 2.10, which wheels do you recomend me for the dyno zone? please reply this post at dyno zone 1999, you can answer me here or feel free to message me

If you're doing flatland definately the smaller tires, if you're doing all around riding (park, street, flatland)  go with the Odyssey.

U betcha!  Got the frame and fork from Transition and most of the parts.  I think I got a couple of things from E-Bay but 85% of it was from Transition.  You want the Master???!!!  We could talk about it.  wink
