Re: *Official old school skateboard thread*
Awesome, Vic!
Here's my daily addition. I have way more 90's pictures than 80's. Check the tiny wheels. Failed nose blunt slide results in an ultra krooked grind. We called them "K" grinds back then. Note the Airwalk NTS shoes.

O.k., o.k., one more midschool shot in the glory days of tiny wheels and ultra big clothing. Front crook or backwards nose grind, don't remember:

Dang, Scrappy, I don't remember that board at all. Must have been before my time.
My first Pro set up was an Hosoi hammer head (with Christian doing a japan air in front of the Japan flag), Thunder trucks (with the dagger and lizard on the base plate, Vision swirl Blurs. Of course it had clear grip with skate sticker underneath. I later traded the board for some Mike Buff Z-rims as I realized I sucked at skateboarding and got back into BMX.
My deck is a 1986. Was that before your time?
Still searching for my missing bikes from BITD. 1979 Blue Max serial: CI9 221346 and 1977 Webco serial: 42667. Both were last seen at Spoke and Sport Bicycles in Spokane, WA around 1984. $600 reward if found!!

AOS is a good reference of skate stuff and Chris tries to keep things updated, but S&B is more fun due to the forum and interaction with others.

One of my friends from BITD. This picture was taken shorty after Hurricane Hugo struck Charleston, SC back in '89. We took advantage of all the new found construction in the area. One footed melon:

Re: *Official old school skateboard thread*
Weird skate karma afoot. A couple months ago I gave away the Hosoi Rocket wheels off my Vision Mark Gonz deck. The next day I got this message on fb from a friend not seen in ten years:
"ok- a CIRCA 1980-something VISION "PUNKSKULL" skateboard wrapped in vision slimeballs (97a's) with tracker six track ultra light trucks featuring early original artwork on the griptape--might entice you to stop posting naked photos of me on the internet..?"
It's one of my old boards that I gave him when I got a new one. He has never ridden it, and had it in his closet since 1987ish. I will see him on halloween, when he will return it... so, pics in november I guess.

Haha, that board said, "End Racism" like Tommy Gurerro had on his griptape in the latest Powell video at the time. I don't even think I knew what racism was at the time. haha.

I have the same shoes and a painters cap at the house. I traded a blue set of the gullwing pros to justin aka porkchop back in April.
I keep buying and selling, so I guess I wasn't happy with the four I had left.

I had a VSW painter's cap that I had the nerve to throw VSW stickers on, and that thing started turning brown with all the sweat I saturated it with! Nice McGill, and it sounds like you're looking for GW Pro IIIs. Good luck.

I remember my gullwings being silver, they must of came after the trucks pictured....hmmmm. What trucks had the optional plastic guard to put on them to grind smoother? I remember something like that as well. Need to find some more pictures.

You could buy those (forgot what the hell they were called) separately to fit any truck, although I think I remember hearing about a brand of trucks that had it built in. If you plan to ride, I wouldn't recommend getting any for the Gullwings due to the shape of the truck, which may result in the (dohickeys) breaking.
