I've spent longer than any pro board searching for another one of these department store boards.  Before I had a Jinx, I had a Samurai complete just like this bought from a Hill's department store. Before that, I had Nash like this one.

I spent too much for the Samurai complete as it is the first time I've seen one since I started searching in 2000. I'm about to grab my Jinx and keep all three in my bedroom just like when I was eleven. lol
The top of my old Jinx, which was my first real complete from a skateshop is pictured below and you can tell it has been well loved/used for 31 years.

Are you back in the game?  I thought you sold your collection a few years ago.

No, can't afford the game. Just was having a conversation with my parents, skateboards came up, remembered the Samurai complete, looked on eBay, and lucked up on finding this one.

I keep buying and selling, so I guess I wasn't happy with the four I had left.

Very cool. My first skateboard was purchased as a complete from a bicycle shop. It was an Action Sports Night Rider. I have yet to see another one. I'd surely jump on one if one ever popped up. I'm digging how you matched your decals! big_smile

Re: *Official old school skateboard thread*

Ok guys. Hopefully someone can help me with this one.

I had a deck for a short period of time before snapping it in half (launch ramp to stair rail). I'd love to find another one for my collection but I don't remember what deck it was or manufacture. What I do remember (if memory  serves me correctly) is that the graphics were of zoo animals / zoo themed. A part of me thinks it was a vision or sims. I wasn't my favorite board but I'd love to have one for my collection.

Any help & info is greatly appreciated. My apologies for not having much info to go with.

This would have been around 1989-1990?

More than likely a World Industries Mike Vallely Barnyard deck. There a handful of reissued ones including the one that Vallely did with his own brand.

Re: *Official old school skateboard thread*

I appreciate the reply but it wasn't a Valley deck. I do remember there was an elephant on it (I believe on the nose). The nose of the deck wasn't very big either.

I also thought of this when I read short nose and zoo animal related.  It is Vision, so who knows.

Jason Lee's silly Animals deck  was 89 or 90ish. I'll find a pic (edit: No elephant though)

Looking for some help.... Thinking it may be a old Sims. The residue on the front looks like the old logos. Residue on bottom is from decals I removed. Newer bad shop decals. Wheels are Sims and trucks are California slalom. Goodwill buy.http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/76036/9c55a051-d933-47e1-9c2e-a59773666d025d423a1ee3.jpeg
