I understand that this the BMX Museum...but I think BMX and skateboarding go hand in hand with bringing back our childhood memories. Post up your old skate pics, boards, ads, collections, etc.!
Here's an old picture of me back in '91. Fakie ollie impossible on a Chris Pastras:

Thermal count is rising, In perpetual writhing. The primordial ooze, And the sanity they lose. Awakened in the morning, To more air pollution warnings. Still we sleepwalk off to work, While our nervous systems jerk. Pretending not to notice, How history had forebode us. With the green house in effect, Our environment was wrecked. Now, I can only laugh, As I read our epitaph. We end our lives as moles, In the dark of DAWN PATROL

^^Same here.^^
I skated, and loved it. But I just couldn't pull-off the kind of tricks that my buddies did.

Yup, I used to pull those all the time. It was actually a varial...but I used to drag my rear leg and call it a one footed varial.

Re: *Official old school skateboard thread*
Killer additions, fellas! I love these old boards. It's really hard to not want to start collecting them. I have a couple re-issues hanging on the wall...but I'm content with them, thank goodness.
And just to keep it going, this was taken of me this past weekend. I still get out from time to time and hurt myself.

Re: *Official old school skateboard thread*
I searched, but this is all I could find of me from 88-91.
What's left of my collection.
And a link to my some of my old collection:

My computer keeps locking up when I was trying to load multiple pics from the old wall album. If you are bored and want to look at way too many pics, go to my sold albulm.
I keep buying and selling, so I guess I wasn't happy with the four I had left.

Re: *Official old school skateboard thread*
To be honest, I only remember him skating in one of the old Vision movies and it was in a pool. I remember an add or two of him skating a vert ramp. My first real deck was a black dip mini in 88 that I picked out because I was a Batman fan and was waiting for the "new" Batman movie to come out in June or July. I have a bit of OCD collecting and sold everything not Jinx and decided I was just going to collect Jinx decks. That was still out of hand, so I just wanted one of each model in nos (or really close) condition. Christmas night, a friend from overseas sent me a pm that he found the last one I was looking for and ever since I have been on a BMX only diet.
If you look at the blue mini, it has been signed by both Marty Jiminez and Brad Dorfman. I sent it to Select Distribution the end of 2009 to help them get the reissue correct. Still pissed that they did not make one in the colors I had as a kid. I did find one that is almost a match.
Top left is my first real set up, bottom right is the closest to a match I have found in 12 years of looking. The vision fade is the wrong colors. Where the one in good condition is a orange/yellow fade, my original one had green/yellow fade and matched the Blurrs I have on both set ups.
I keep buying and selling, so I guess I wasn't happy with the four I had left.

When I started out my LBS only carried Gullwings. I had one set of Tracker Aggros back then and only when I picked up skating again in 2000 did I start trying other trucks. I have had Grindking, Indy, Ace, Venture, royal, Deadbolt, and Tensors since then.
I keep buying and selling, so I guess I wasn't happy with the four I had left.

Re: *Official old school skateboard thread*
I had a set of Gullwing SuperPRo III's. I used to run Thunders, I had a set of Tracker Aggro's...followed by some Tracker Aggro "floaters". I had a couple sets of Grind Kings (love how the king pin was out of the way). I rode some Destructo's for about three days. I am now a devoted Independent guy. Nothing turns better. Not the lightest truck on the market but by far the best turning. Deadbolt...man, I haven't heard that in a while. Remembet Z-Rollers? Bwahahaha!
