1999 Redline FS 880

1999 Redline FS880 retro'd

My first bike in about 20 years. Always lusted after a RL20II and recently I spotted this on my local craigslist. Couldn't resist. :)
The chrome is in decent shape for hanging out in the Seattle weather for 12 years. Had some surface rust and has a few small dents but nothing that really bothers me. I eventually plan on getting it re-chromed but for now it's a daily rider so it'll do just fine as-is. :D
Replaced the tires, cranks, pedals, brake cables, grips, etc and got a retro Pro Styler decal kit all courtesy of the local retro BMX shop.
edit:
Added some new pics I took today after adding some new parts this weekend. I'd say that this bike is 99.9% done. Just waiting on some nice light weight pegs to show up that I ordered.
The newest parts are the chromed Odyssey Classic Flat forks I picked up on here from diablo(thanks again, man!) and some mid school Haro Knee saver bars I picked up locally this weekend that are in fantastic shape.
Other than that, over the past few months I've added the Primo Son of a Bomb sealed hubs laced to some GSport Rollcage rims. A polished Redline Hollowpoint stem. And I stripped and polished the Odyssey Evo IIs. They were originally the pomegranate and I could basically scrape it off with my fingernails so I just decided to do away with the finish. Other than some other small details, I also trimmed off some of the excess metal on the rear drop outs.
When I first got this mid school tank, it clocked in at about 36 pounds. With all the mods and part swapping, it's now down to about 29 pounds. Not too shabby for a mid schooler.

Hey DonBot,

Maybe Give It Some Colour - '80's Retro RL-20 II Pro Styler Two-Tone Chrome/Paint?

Most Kind Regards, :)

Definitely a plan I have rolling around in my head. Just don't know what color. Probably keep the red theme going with it. But for now, I'm going to concentrate on another bike so I can still have something to ride while this one is getting re-re-retro'd. :D

Went to the water front today and took some new pics(edited the og post too).
Man, with all I have put into this thing, you guys weren't kidding telling me to say goodbye to my wallet when I first joined. I've got a stack of receipts filling up the box that the Flight Cranks came in that I am afraid to ad up! :D

Anyway, the pics.(my good camera done got busted so I had to use an older one so the pics are less than stellar. lol)

Wow what a beauty... love to see it with Skyways! I wonder what the TT is?

Re: 1999 Redline FS 880

Thanks, man! Thinking about ordering some Skyways for another build I'm doing and I might have to see what they look like on here. Though I'd kill for a fresh set of black Peregrines to try out on it. :D
And the tt is 20" on these.
