1987 Summit Freestyle Free Flight
1987 Summit Freestyle Free Flight
SOLD!
87 Summit freestyler Free flight... show me another one.
Found on Ebay in pieces and with a badly broken seat mast. I decided to experiment with it and restored the seat mast. I made a post about it a while back: http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=264437
Like many of the off-brand bikes from the 80's, this one has details that compare to other more famous bikes of the period.
Definitely a rare bird.
You don't HAVE to build every frame and fork you own... right?

Re: 1987 Summit Freestyle Free Flight
One Summit in the entire Museum... Crazy. My bike was a Summit. It looked like an 87-88 Mongoose Cali in chrome... just not quite as cool. LBS owner told my mom it was made by Mongoose. Guess he lied. BUT, I DESTROYED on that bike. My friends all had Mongoose Cali's, Redlines and GT's... and I made em look sad on their sweet bikes.
Good for you owning a Summit... still looking for my little chrome knock-off.

Re: 1987 Summit Freestyle Free Flight
I have seen a couple more in the museum forums, but the owners do not upload them.
I am redoing the decals so they look more like the originals.
Thanks! and I do enjoy having it,

Re: 1987 Summit Freestyle Free Flight
That's cool J-ROD.
No standers, cable guides and a wrap around top tube.
88 maybe?

Re: 1987 Summit Freestyle Free Flight
It came with a Fake lifter stem also. My son is rounding up parts for it.
