Re: Special Needs, Special Children

this is an awesome thing that you are doing.  do you still need any small parts? i have frames and bigger items that i could donate, but i can't afford the shipping right now. i can however, fill up a usps flat rate box with small stuff. i have pairs of 1/2" pedals, chainrings, lots of caliper brakes, etc.
if you can use any of this stuff, please send me a shipping address so i can get this going.
thanks......... kevin

As for the larger parts, whatever I can do to accommodated you on cost, I will. PM is sent, so i'll see you on the other side of a smile big_smile

Re: Special Needs, Special Children

Anonymous donation(I think)! I received a flat rate box today. Funny thing is I was not expecting anything from anyone. It shipped from Rochester, NY. The most astonishing thing is it has small components that I need to finish up a bike I'm working on. I don't wish to over look anyone, and would like to share with everyone. So if you wish Rochester, NY PM me so I can make it right. Until then Thank You Very Much. Re: Special Needs, Special Children

Just got done grading about 30 Essays submitted by student at the local school. It was so they could have a chance to receive a bike from the program. They were touching, and humorous stories. After i contact winners, and get release from school I'll post them up. After reading some of these stories, I felt good to be apart of this program, and to be able to provide some sunshine on a cloudy day.

Re: Special Needs, Special Children

This is Amy she is very happy her bike came just in time for Christmas. Her essay was very touching, and her wait for a bike is over. Merry Christmas Amy! http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/ab353/teabeats/44T%20BMX%20Donation%20Program/44Tdonationprogram188.jpg There will be many more bikes given out, as soon as we can find a way to get frame/forks/bars painted. We are also looking for a larger venue to host the Dream Big; After School Workshop. Turn out is much high than anticipated. Our Motto: Dream Big or Go Home!

Would you believe This made it to Pawel just in the nick of time. As I was Knocking on the door he was opening up present early because his family was planning on a holiday trip. Needless to say he did not need to take the wrapper off of this one. Lets end the year on a good note. This bike got lost in Santa's workshop, and i'm glad it found it's way home. So is Damien!(Rooster) they call him. http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/ab353/teabeats/44T%20BMX%20Donation%20Program/44Tdonationprogram213.jpg (Santa's Helper: Zoey) http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/ab353/teabeats/44T%20BMX%20Donation%20Program/IMG00020-20101215-1537-1-1.jpg http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/ab353/teabeats/44T%20BMX%20Donation%20Program/DSCF7449.jpg http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/ab353/teabeats/44T%20BMX%20Donation%20Program/12292010096.jpg

Re: Special Needs, Special Children

This is one of the best things that I have seen this holiday. You are doing a awesome thing for these kids,I had a best friend when I was younger who gave me his mongoose motto. If it wasn't for him I don't know if I ever would have had a nice bike I will always remember him and that goose I jumped that bike off everything. That little guy with the Venom is going to remember that bike and this Christmas forever that is a genuine smile on that little man's face.Your a blessing for these little people keep up the good work.

I don't remember it hurting this much, can someone pick up my teeth please.

Re: Special Needs, Special Children

Hello museum visitors, and members smile welcome to the first bike to be donated in the year of 2011. we hope that we can increase the output as the year progresses. This bike was given to a deserving young man by the name of Adam. This is his first ever bike, and we hope not his last. wink http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/ab353/teabeats/44T%20BMX%20Donation%20Program/S0477777.jpg http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/ab353/teabeats/44T%20BMX%20Donation%20Program/DSCF7778.jpg http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/ab353/teabeats/44T%20BMX%20Donation%20Program/dyno_018.jpg http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/ab353/teabeats/44T%20BMX%20Donation%20Program/dyno_023.jpg http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/ab353/teabeats/44T%20BMX%20Donation%20Program/dyno_026.jpg http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/ab353/teabeats/44T%20BMX%20Donation%20Program/S0597821.jpg ...and special thanks to Hector(maddawg) for bringing this bike to life.
