We are not planning on making a regular CW Racing straight cruiser frame set, sad to say, but there is just not enough demand to justify the expense.

Currently working on the Phaze 1 cruiser (Which will have a reinforced Z using a higher diameter down tube) and also on the Buff Trick Kit, they should be for sale by the end of Fall season.

Hey there... if you're making a list or thinking about taking pre-orders for a non-z cruiser, put me on it!!

Or, if you need a large person (6', 300+) to test the new Z-frame cruisers when they come out, I'll volunteer!!! lol I broke 2 20" z's bitd, so I would be reluctant to get a cruiser that I plan to race/ride if it's gonna break.

Have you thought about taking orders just to see how much demand there would be for a non-z cruiser? I'd be willing to put down a deposit as good faith. How many orders would you need to get to justify the expense?

I've come to terms with buying the phase 1 when it comes out, but making a regular frame would probably only involve adjusting the jig or making a new portion of a jig to weld a regular down tube on. It may not even be that involved of a process to twaek a jig. I'm no frame maker so I don't know what is involved in adjusting the welding jig but one would think it would be adjustable. I'd give a deposit as well for a regular frame, but either way I'm buying one, whatever they decide to do. I loved my 20" phase one to death as a 14 year old and CW's in general.

I was fortunate when I had my Phase 1's. Our local bike shop was owned by Justin Shepard's (CW Factory rider) father and when I broke my first one, I was able to get a new one directly from the factory for no charge. When I broke my second one, Mr. Shepard convinced me to go with the new ZXL and I was very happy with that too. Mr. Shepard and CW always treated me well. Even today, the guys at CW-racing.com are FANTASTIC people to deal with. I've been emailing back and forth with Juan about some stickers for my restoration that I ordered and they are some FIRST CLASS people! (KUDOS to Juan...you rock!!) I'd like to get some other brands to build for show, but I'll always ride a CW! Thought I would include a photo of Justin that I took at the old Ashland BMX track BITD.

Just bumping this up if anyone at CW has a potential release date or not or if even a final phase 1 design has been determined. I still really want one.

Re: New CW cruiser frames. Are they in the works?

I just saw Ed's (coloredtuffs) pictures on his facebook page. The cruiser kit looks sick! I wonder how much it will be? And when are they available? I went to the website, and there is no mention of a phase 1 cruiser? Here is the picture he posted on his FB page:

Do you know if it's going to be a limited production run? If so, how many? Can I start sending you down payments now?

The finish on that bike is amazing. I can't wait to send my bars and fork to Revcore for chrome.

Re: New CW cruiser frames. Are they in the works?

Here is the basic info on the P1 Twenty Four:

HTA: 73.5
STA: 72
BB: 0.0" (12.0")
Chainstay Length: 14.9375" minimum.
Wheelbase: 37.90"
Top tube: 21.50"

There will be only 13 of these frames produced initially, if we see there is more demand we may do a second run (The idea still however to make these super limited).

XP Means experimental.

The pricing should be similar to the Hollywood ZX (Please keep in mind the chrome version is done in triple chrome, not some of those $ 300.00 jobs you can find out there), and the kit includes Frame, Fork, Handlebar, Seat post and pads. We are still using US True temper Chromoly.

We want to launch these when they are ready to ship this way deposits wont be necessary (Unless you want to secure one of the thirteen and willing to wait it out for a couple months).

Here are some photos of the construction of the frame (These are handy shots, the only thing I could put together considering this bike was completed in about a week and I just got it yesterday).
