Re: 1997 Torker Pro XL

Thanks!  I'm switching to a black seat post for ease of adjustment since the powdered yellow post was just a temp because it was cut too short.

Another excellent job Chris! Glad to know you actually ride these beauties and not just hanging them on the wall (although they are worthy of a pedestal).

Re: 1997 Torker Pro XL

This 1 is getting a revamp in parts as it's my race bike. New seat, post, clamp,, tires, cranks, sprocket, rear cog, & stem. All intended to shave some weight, add to the looks & hopefully help my 'ol ars be faster. lol

Oops, also forgot I'm re-powder coating it to make it really nice. It's still sporting the original powder from '97. The new parts are listed in the parts list up top.

Re: 1997 Torker Pro XL

They are called vanguard and they came off some low end POS bike like a "next" or something like that. I have a the same tires on a cruiser as well.

Re: 1997 Torker Pro XL

There was one of these for sale locally a few years ago but for some reason I could not get the seller to reply to emails via C'list, it even had the factory solid 3D crankset and was in excellent condition with just a small crack at the headtube which could have been repaired, it was also yellow, there is a Torker "Wizard" freestyler complete F/F for sale way up north of me but we'll see what happens, a 24 cruiser with a double top tube would be the kind if I could find one locally or on here, sweet build, too bad it's gone now.
