1976 Schwinn Scrambler
1976 Schwinn Scrambler
100% All-original, un-restored 1976 survivor Schwinn Scrambler.
This bike was owned by a friend of mine- Brian Kramer, who passed away a few years ago from cancer. It was his childhood bike, and I decided to not touch or change anything on this when it was given to me. Brian raced BMX on and off during his lifetime, and even when he was diagnosed with cancer, he still rode when he could, and loved BMX. It is an honor to now own his bike, so it will remain as-is, as he had it! Shortly before he passed away, Brian gave me his prized "BMX Action" Vol 1 magazine, which remains here at my shop now, and will be part of this bike display. I'm so humbled that he thought enough of me, and my collection, to give part of his belongings.
This Scrambler is 100% original. Even the tires and reflectors! It's a great piece of American BMX history. Thanks Brian!

Thanks.... He knew what was coming in the end, and it faced it with dignity and grace and never feared it. He passed in his sleep at home with his wife and kids there. If you have to go, there is no better place to be. And without getting too religious here, his faith in God and Jesus got him through it all......
Thanks again.... This is one of those bikes that has so much sentimental meaning to me....

Very cool. It's awesome that you're keeping it as is.

I loved these bikes when they were new. I think you're doing the right thing with this bike. Preserve history and keep your memories alive.
