1994 Auburn CR-20S

The Sweetness.

The original owner of this bike since 1994.  It's my first and only BMX bike and I'm starting to ride again from a long layoff.  All parts are original except for the following:
Answer handlebars
DK Stem
Odyssey Triple Trap pedals
Odyssey Aaron Ross Grips
Bomer Pads (Not Shown)
Note: I have all the original parts at my parents house, but I have to dig them up.  Parts were changed out between 1994 and 1995.  Also, I still have to install the original Odyssey Pitbull brakes.
**UPDATE (7/3/11)** The first picture is the latest.  Added NOS Profile 175mm 3 pc cranks w/ purple profile cups.  Added green brake cable (thanks Porkchop) and Diamondback brake lever (from LBS).  Had to get some 9/16" Odyssey Triple Trap pedals w/ blue anodized cages to fit the 3 pc crank.

Thanks.  The only real problem is some bad rust that formed on the chrome portion of the frame.  I'm thinking about getting it re-chrome plated. :)

Nice auburn. I have a 96 cr20s . Its in the museum too under my bikes, check it out. I was thinking of making this a full project and getting some nos stamped gt cranks for mine and getting htem powdered auburn green. Making it a full neon green bike.

People say, dont mess with the cr20s because its chromo, and not a xl size frame, but personally i love this bike, its strong and very light for a chromo bike and its top tube is very long for a pro size.

Oh, and for the rust, first try an "oa bath", read under restorations and theres a sticky thread for "oa bath", or oaxilix acid bath . It will get pretty much all the rust off you need to remove. If that doesn't work, which it should, then you could go about trying to get that thing re-chromed.

Nice bike. :D

P.S. I am interested in your OG Auburn Cr bars which you said you still have the og parts at your parents. If so, let me know and pm me some pics and a price

Cheers,
Sean

I can not sit still. I have been tested for A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. and have neither. I don't need coffee, I just need a B.M.X. or surfboard to consistently ride and I'll be happy. :)

Yeah, I think I'll have to get the chrome redone.  I used Naval Jelly on the rust and got a lot of it off.  However, there is some pretty good pitting that I can't fix.  O'well, just will have to find someone who can re-chrome for me.:D
