Re: 1998 Mongoose MacFearsome

Very nice frame. I have only ever seen one other and it wasn't in that nice of condition.
Not sure of the Profile stem, but i am sure you will be able to find it on ebay sooner or later the headset was an Aheadset SX-1.

Re: 1998 Mongoose MacFearsome

Awsome find, the hubs, spokes and rims were all polished with red anodized nipples.  There's a review and comparrison of these bikes and the GT speed series with Robert MacPherson and Billy Griggs in the February 1998 issue of BMX PLUS magazine.( they're on the cover).
Where were these frames breaking?

Re: 1998 Mongoose MacFearsome

Thanks for the info, thats good to know. I've read that the Macfearsomes predicessor the Solution frames were cracking bottom brackets. Glad to hear mongoose resolved this problem on the Macfearsome frames, and cracking at the headtube area can be common on aluminum frames, especially if used for anything other than racing, or not being a smooth rider and jumper.
