Re: DYNO VFR enthusiasts unite!!!

I have a black '94 with mostly original parts in my parents garage.  I beat the hell out of it when I was in high school and college, and it's fine except a slightly bent rear dropout.

This is my most recent one, but I can't keep it.  Got too many other projects going on and not enough room sad

Re: DYNO VFR enthusiasts unite!!!

Just a little rust removal, new tires, worked on the paint and touched up.

Mostly original. My daughters bike.

Is that a 24"?  The frame geometry looks way off for a VFR.

Nice job on the paint zman, looks great cool

Here's my 97, It came in a package deal, pretty scroungy.
Its 4th in line in the build list, Im planning on assembling this out of left over parts in the stash, after the others are built.

Parts list so far
175 chrome 1 pc cranks, unknown
VP platform pedals, need polished
48 spoke weinmann,  unknown alum hubs, wheels need torn down, stripped, polished
1 pc alum 44 t sprocket
Dyno Big D stem, needs polished
Unknown 8" rise chrome bars
Chrome fork, unknown, maybe mongoose?
Chrome laid back post
Random seat, recovered in whatever black leather scrap I find
KMC Z chain -used
Tektro V brakes, will be polished
Tires - 1.95 with red stripe sidewall, 2.2 with blue stripe side wall, kenda 1.95 comp style

Paint,  I have PPG black or black pearl left over from car projects.  Probably shoot the pearl on it and go with a silver $8 ebay mega store sticker pack.

Looking at these bikes, a spider and sprocket,  gumwall 1.75 tires makes these look great, I may have to buy a few parts.

Black pearl would look really sharp!

Re: DYNO VFR enthusiasts unite!!!

My next project. I have the nos decals but I sent high res scans to delcals to have repops made. Gonna be a sick VFR build with awesome parts.

Re: DYNO VFR enthusiasts unite!!!

I had no idea there was a VFR thread.

I had two roughly mid 90's VFR's, both were solid and I liked the size / geometry, kind of wish I still had them.

^ Looking good cool
