Movie Replica Bikes.

I also belong to a forum called the prop replica forum where people who are CRAZY talented make movie props and replicas that are WILDLY impressive.

My brother had told me a couple of years ago that someone here had replica bikes of the Goonies Bikes, does someone know where this thread is?

I was also wondering if anyone has any replica bikes from Bmx Bandits or Rad to show off.  I would like to link the thread to the RPF.

There are some guys on there who are fanatical about doing replica bikes from Pee Wee's Big Adventure.  That tiger horn is actually a rare horn from italy, and multiple people have paid some $$$ for them.

What are some other good replica bikes on here you guys have?

You guys do know that no one actually rode the E.T. Kuwahara in the movie, right?

So it wouldn't be a "prop replica."

TONS of movies from the 80's featured kids on non-descript BMX bikes.

Sounds like a cool idea, but finding good reference would be a pain.

You bet, the one car my brother and I are going nuts trying to replicate is the Mad Max car.  We want one so bad but they were only available to Australia.

Re: Movie Replica Bikes.

Here are a couple of threads dealing with the Pee Wee's Big Adventure Bike.

Some of these guys do some of the sickest work I have ever seen.  And they make copies to sell, sometimes for next to nothing.

I've seen the Road Warrior over 100 times. Love the opening scene, and when he fires-up the Mack. I did a replica of the Corvette Summer car, maybe the last Hollywood television or movie car to be replicated (and it was not easy). Both actual movie cars have changed quite a bit in the last 30 years, so mine is the most "screen accurate", with only very subtle improvements (such as a true RHD conversion, rather than a chopped steering column).

Re: Movie Replica Bikes.

Dude, you should post it on that forum.  There is one guy on there from Austin that is turning his Mazda Miata into a 1960's Batmobile lol

I am not laughing at him, but it's just an obscure thing to do with a miata.

I am going to post a lot of these on the forum, I could have sworn someone said that someone had made replica bikes of the goonies bikes.

Re: Movie Replica Bikes.

The said thing is, if you find the correct car from Mad Max, it will cost around $40,000 Australian $$$$$, you can get the lesser model for $20,000+ and supe it up, but it will still cost around $5000 to ship it to the states, there are a few guys on that forum that have done that.

My brother and I have vowed that before we die, we are going to Australia to buy one and take a two week trip in it across Australia and then ship it home.

We recently watch BMX Bandits and we would like to visit some of the spots on that movie.

I wasn't aware Eddie Torres rode BMX. It must have been tough with the Extra Testicle.

This movie is about the same car you want. Cool documentary/movie.

Wrong, They all road kuwahara's. Google ET BMX and click images. The main character rode a red white fade and the other kids rode kuwi's too. I saw the moved the other day randomly and C. Thomas Howe is in that movie. He ride a kuwahara too.
