1982 Diamond Back Silver Streak

Built in 2007 to look my old bike in 83.

After collecting 4 a while I scored this F/F off the bay.Seeing the condition it was in I made a choice 2 rebuild it to what I had bitd. After new chrome, finding all the N.O.S. SR parts I could find, this is what I was left with! Parts run down, Bars, frame, fork, Diamondback.SR parts, stem, chainwheel,3 piece crank. Mx seat, fluted seat post,UKAI rim set, suntour sealed hubs,dia-compe 880's.Repo pad set, repo decal set.
Sold sad

Re: 1982 Diamond Back Silver Streak

This is one of the best silver streak restorations I have seen.  I love the cranks, they look like the hardest part of the bike to complete.

This gives me an excellent blue print for my Silver streak frame and fork when I get around to it.

Right now I have an 81 Diamondback Senior pro I am working on first, but my silver streak may be next.

I am gonna favorite your bike.

Re: 1982 Diamond Back Silver Streak

Thanks, crank set came from vert-ego.com, pricey but well worth it. I spared no expence on the resto. Good luck wit your senior pro.

Very nice indeed smile

The 3pc Diamond Back cranks were Sugino, standard fitment to the Mini, Medium and Senior Pro, though were available as optional extras. The SR were manufactured for the Japanese market Silver Streak. They were also available in the same colour scheme as the DB ones, Red, Yellow (gold), Black and Blue.

smile
