1995 Dyno VFR

My old, mid and new school all rolled into one

Sold: 2011-04-22
This bike started out as "just cleaning the garage" and turned into a bike in the stand, two day restomod.  Probably meant to be an all around race and jumping bike, I decided to have a little fun and throw some old school graphics on it and give it a new school stance.  It rides nice too!

Re: 1995 Dyno VFR

Definately gave it a new look! I dig it! Youve gotta tell me though, how in the hell do you get all your bikes to "STAND" without a stand?????

That's nice and clean!  I don't dig mid school too much but that bike is just slick looking.  What tires are those?

Comp II's from PorkchopBMX.com here:

Comp 2 knobby tread BMX skinwall tire - 20" X 1.75" - BLACK
http://www.porkchopbmx.com/Comp-2-knobb … -BLACK.htm

He also sells these fatter ones:

Comp 2 knobby tread BMX skinwall tire - 20" X 2.125" - BLACK
http://www.porkchopbmx.com/Comp-2-knobb … -BLACK.htm

Or these in a staggered pair (fat up front, skinny in the rear):

Comp 2 tread knobby BMX skinwall STAGGERED tires - 20" - BLACK
http://www.porkchopbmx.com/Comp-2-tread … -BLACK.htm

EDIT: apparently, these links are not to the tires I used.  I just confirmed I did get these Duro's from Porkchop but this is a style he picked up from another distributor and no longer has in stock.  Sorry for the confusion. hmm

Re: 1995 Dyno VFR

nice bike, I have one too and I actually was thinking of doing it like yours, if you don't mind. I like how  the chrome bars and chrome forks look on the bike. I have one question my forks where actually chrome before, but I painted them red and so was the whole bike(chrome just in case it sounded confusing I re-read the sentence and sounded a bit weird), my dad actually told me not to paint it and his friend told me it would start flaking a lot faster which it actually did. I just did one coat on the forks and the paint was a paint and prime both in one. I actually didn't like it too much, but since it was cheaper than buying a primer and paint can, i just bought it anyways. My question was do you think I did any damage to the chrome? and whats the best thing to use to remove it without hurting the chrome? and from where it has little chips[on the forks] the chrome looks nice do you think all of it will look like that if I remove it? sorry for writing a lot as well and for asking more than one question like I had initially planned to.
(you could actually see my crappy bike in the museum)

heyzues,
Paint stripper will remove it just fine and the chrome won't be damaged.

Re: 1995 Dyno VFR

STUPID LAPTOP!!! VERY SHARP! love the red accents. what I love most about it tho is you built something really clean, sharp and creative out of something most people wouldn't even bother with. definitely has me thinking I just might have to do something with the one I just scored.
