Re: Standard questions

Those are awesome Nick! , this one was built by a bike store owner for his son...hung on the wall until 02 when he put it together , rode it a a handful of times, and then it has sat ever since. It has a very small scratch from a move, otherwise it is perfect.

What are the chances that a set is floating around like this somewhere?

Re: Standard questions

There is very few OG decals left around Ricks parts. I do know If i can get you a OG set, if there is one laying around its VERY SPENDY as for he may only have 1 or 2 left if that. Its not about making profit on stickers, its just there is slim to none left and $ makes everyone think about selling something!! Sorry there is not more to sell. SBC just used them all back in the day..

Re: Standard questions

Is there anyone making repop 1995 shorty and lenghty decal sets? I also need two STA 1999 sets, and a 1999 250 set as well ? Standards just rule... I would like to know if in fact shorties varied in head tube angles, since I had two different ones, and they rode distinctly from one another.on had a flared seattube, and was much lighter than the other one, which I kept, this one has a much mellower angle and no flared tube.

Re: Standard questions

Polanco, I know for a fact that there are decals in the works for the bikes you speak of. Rick will have total control over the sale of them. I post more info as they get closer to completion. Then I'm sure Rick will be the contact to purchase them.

Re: Standard questions

Yea alot of the decals were lost or damaged in the fire. There are very few examples left of any of the decals Standard used on bikes. Nick has access to Standard goods more than any of us due to being friends with Rick and living near Standard. Not saying Nick can get you anything you want but like he said money talks.

Re: Standard questions

THe decals are in great shap, but have been pulled loose on one side by the Gyro Cable. I waould prefer to keep them OG or possibly use NOS replacements...if that is an option...looks like I will just reglue the ones that are on it. Thanks for all the input!

***but if a set were available I would be VERY interested big_smile , And money is not a huge factor...this could very well be the best preserved bike I personally have seen that was actually built to ride and not for show. big_smile
